Registration & Fees
All players, Team Managers and Coaches must register each season. BH currently use SportsTG for their competition system. Payment for player registration is via credit card.
Each Team Manager and Coach are required to have a valid Working With Children Check and will not be able to register without one. They are also required to complete the HBA Member Protection Declaration.
All fees must be paid prior to the first game of the season, otherwise the player may lose their place in the team. Please note that players are not covered by insurance until fees are paid. A player will not be permitted to play or train unless fees are fully paid.
$290 per player in teams that train
$225 per player in teams that do not train
The costs of running a basketball club are considerable, with our major costs being team registration with BH, court hire for training and weekly match fees.
Coaches are paid a small honorarium as recognition of the great work they perform. Payment is made at the end of each season.
We are a not-for-profit organisation and do not pay committee members for the role they perform. However, in recognition of the countless hours they dedicate to keep the Club running, fees for their children are waived.
We do not have “Best Player” awards; as part of our philosophy that the important thing is to participate, each child in the younger age groups receives a trophy at the end of each season. Teams usually have a get together at the end of each season organised by the team manager.
